Orange Range – Ikenai Taiyou
Ikenai Taiyou by Orange Range(PV)
This song is very catchy and nice! It will definitely brighten up your day! It is the theme song of the latest drama “Hanazakari no Kimitachi e” (in short Hana Kimi, this time is the Japanese version) One of my favourite Bleach opening song is “Asterisk”, sang by them as well. I watched a live performance of the rap and was very impressed.

The show that I can only watch on Friday and Saturday…
Drama Title: Sekai no chuushin de, ai wo sakebu
This is a super nice drama, but I’m watching it really slowly because I can only watch it on Friday and Saturday and only 1 episode each day…
The reason is…
It is a tear draining drama… EVERY episode will make me cry… I’m not joking ok. My eyes will be really tired and swollen the next day.
This drama was a big hit. It won several awards, including best actor, actress, theme song, director, drama… watch it at your own risk. haha

One Piece – Now then they review Luffy’s past!
One piece, never fails to make me laugh! They are really good at building up tension and release it all of a sudden.
** Spoiler…
Surprise! Luffy’s Grandpa is a marine hero! And in the middle of the fight, both of them fell asleep!
EHHHHH…. (the expression I like most!)
Then the next surprise… Luffy’s father is the revolution leader, Dragon. What’s more, he appeared in the previous episode though not much attention was given to him.
Luffy’s Family!
By the way, I just realised what/who is Vegapunk. It is revealed in ep 315. There’s a One Piece Fansub with this name and the quality is fantastic!

Detective Conan Live Action – Movie
Any anime fan will at least heard of this anime Detective Conan. It has been airing in Japan since 10 years ago. I enjoy watching the movies and specials but I think some of the short stories are a little childish. In case you do not know the story and think that Conan is a ridiculously smart kid… Conan is in fact Kudo Shinichi who is 17 years old.
“Kudo Shinichi is a seventeen year-old high school detective whom people call the “Modern Sherlock Holmes.” However, one night after a date with his childhood sweetheart, Ran, Shinichi witnessed an illegal trade and, caught off his guard, was knocked unconscious and fed a drug that was supposed to kill him… but he woke up and found himself shrunken to a seven year-old. In order to track down the men who did this to him, Shinichi hid his identity and lived with Ran, whose father happened to be a hopeless detective, and with that came a series of murders and mysteries that he must solve.” — Anime News Network
In celebration of their 10th years of production, they made a live action prequel, titled “Meitantei Conan: Kudou Shin’ichi he no Chousenjou – Sayonara Made no Prologue”. The story is set at some time before Shinichi became Conan and ended at the amusement park where shinichi met the incident that changed his fate.
Here are the characters…
Oguri Shun as Kudou Shinichi (I don’t think his looks fits Shinichi, Shun is too cold and does not have the cheeky look as Shinichi)
Kurokawa Tomoko as Mouri Ran.
Jinnai Takanori as Mouri Kogorou. (This is the best fit. He adds a lot of comic relief to the show!)

It has been 9 weeks!
It’s weekend again! Another week has flew by. I finally got my return date finalized! I will be back on the 31st Aug! Uhooo….
I’m glad the manager asked me if I want to extend my stay here… I said I cannot stay longer because I’m taking part time masters. And he said in that case, I will either work from Singapore or work in another project. No problem at all!
I went out for dinner and coffee with a colleague just now and once again saw someone dressed weirdly walking along the streets. In fact, you can find one almost every weekend. They are the brides or bridegrooms to-be. Here, they have a culture where friends and relatives will sabotage the bride or bridegrooms before their marriage, by letting them wear weird costume and walking around with sign boards. I met a bride-to-be dressed as a police man last weekend. She even carried a walkie talkie with her and receive instructions from her friends on where to go next and what to do etc. A few weeks ago I met a man sitting on a chair right in the middle of the streets holding a sign that said “Ask me any question”. I think he has a quota to meet. These remind me of the stupid things we did during orientation.

Bye bye… Going Merry
You may find it ridiculous, but if you have followed all the 310 episodes of One Piece, you will have some feelings for the ship as well. I’m looking forward to see their new ship!

The Letter – Nice movie!
Meaningful and touching movie, with realistic content. The weakness of human…
Ha, find the actor familiar? He’s the same actor as the previous drama I blogged about. (H2). His name is Yamada Takayuki. He acted in Water Boys too. Anyway, the female lead is the “Sae” in 1 litre of tears… doesn’t look like her right… I think the poster is very well designed. See the vertical lines on the left, it can means the lines on the letter, but can also mean the bars in a jail. You will know what I mean if you watch the movie. =p

Rose Garden
Yes, another trip to garden. But I think I have chosen the wrong time to do, it is raining and the ground is wet.
Anyway, here’s some of the photos I’ve taken.
1. My favourite photo

Collection of roses.

A different experience with the hair salon
Ho ho ho… I got my hair cut!
Besides the price difference, the hairdresser’s method is different as well.
In Singapore, the hair dresser will first wet our hair before they cut. Here, they perm my hair straight! Woh woh, it has been a long time since I see myself with straight, flat hair… I really missed it! Of course, it’s a temporary perm and it can only last for 1 day.
Think I cut more than 3 inches, feel really refreshed now! Yeah.

Awaken by Hunger
I woke up at 5am today though I slept 1 hour later than usual last night. I tried to go back to sleep but couldn’t because I felt too hungry. So no choice, I got up and ate something and here I am blogging at 6.30am…
Last week was a “fairness” week. After the first release, we are now at the next phase of the development which is dealing with fairness. Fairness in my domain, means distributing the good and bad jobs equally to everyone with the help of the system. (I’m very careful with my words because I do not want Google to pick up key words from my blog. Ha ha.) So last week I learnt a lot about how to code fairness and had great satisfaction debugging and coding my codes. I’m glad there is a special group of people in the company who are considered the technical gurus and anyone can pop into their office to ask questions. On the other hand, there is just not enough documentation done. All the knowledge are tacit and lost when people changed project or even company.
Next week onwards is the vacation season here. So you can imagine how many people happily came into our office in the afternoon and said “See you next MONTH”… totally no mood to work after hearing it for the second time. So envious… people here have 5-6 weeks of vacation while in Singapore we only have like 14-18 days…
Weather is still not looking good… the sky is still grey and cloudy with rainfalls a few times in a day. I planned to go to Rose Garden later in the afternoon, keeping my fingers crossed.
I can’t stand my messy hair anymore. I need to cut it! But the cost of a simple haircut is about SGD60.00 here, and I can’t claim that expense. = (

H2 – Kimi to itahibi
I’ve watched another exciting and touching Japanese drama!
Title: H2 – kimi to itahibi
It’s about an ace pitcher vs an ace batter, the live action of the popular anime H2. I haven watched the anime but I enjoyed watching the drama. Although it is adopted from anime, the animations and story line are realistic, at least much more realistic than Prince of Tennis.
The ending song sang by K, titled Over is also quite nice.
